I have been learning about meanings of different words. 

Year 6 Camp Writing

On Tuesday morning some year sixes from Point England school went to camp. We went from the bus to the ferry. On bus it was so quiet that I couldn’t hear hardly anything., Once we got on the ferry it was fun because me Aneelis, Glennes, and Latu got to go to the back of the boat and watch the water go sideways once. When we got to Kawau Island we went to put all our things in and then have some fun we done heaps of sports like bush baseball, crickets, volley, and all sorts.

On the second day we started our activities. All our wet activities started on the third day but all our dry activities were on the second day. Our dry activities were fun because when we were on the Burma trail. I kept on slipping over. I kept on yelling out Fetuao’s name but then I got to the then end. Next it was Fetuao’s turn to be blind folded but then when we started walking Jonathan and Paige were still at the back with Miss Timmy and they were really slow.

After that it was finished we went back to the deck to have morning tea. Morning tea was yum because I ate bread cheese, carrot, with it was delicious that it made me full. After that we had to move on to our next activities which was abseiling. Abseiling was kind of scary because it was too high. Sabrina spewed up and it was really gross.

Then we went bivouac building. It was really fun because we had to build huts out of sticks and “put something waterproof on the top.” I knew that Sabrina's group would win because they had more waterproof stuff on the top and also they had the best hutt.

On the last day it was fun because we cleaned our bunks and we were also playing music outside with Kaden’s mum and some people were dancing. It was also funny because me, Miztique, Nyree, Kerstein, Anna, Bryana, and some other girls sang a song to Mr Sommerville

Until then the fairy arrived and then everybody jumped in and waited for some more things to arrive in the fairy.

Today me and my group exponents have learnt different strategies. Like tidy numbers solving reversibility place values and also problem solving.

On Tuesday we had a little bit of fun with our team four teachers it was fun because we exploded diet coke and we also done science of how does liquid turn into solid and them melt and also we also done bouncy balls with miss lavakula and mrs moala.

Holiday Highlight and Immersion Assembly

Saturday

During the holidays it was fun because we went to our pastors house to do white sunday practices before we done practices. We had breakfast first and wait for our other parents to come with their children to practices some of them came late so then we had to start my sister and my two other cousins had to hold up the flags.

We had to stand in a line starting from smallest to tallest but that dance was for white sunday.

After we had practices my two sisters and my two brothers and me stayed there for a little while and drank cocoa and ate dinner and we watched raw with our Tuvalu friend. But then my uncle and aunt said that we had to leave because it was getting late for me my brothers and sisters. The next day my aunt and uncle picked me my sister taunese and my big brother kitiona it wasn’t fun because first I was squished second I was hungry and third it wasn’t comfortable. But then when we got to church I was amazed because I children from my church wearing white. But I got more excited because my other aunt and uncle also other cousins Came to our church to watch our dance. But then they had to leave early because they had some other things to do.

                                                            Conclusion

After white Sunday me and my cousins ate heaps of lollies. But then 1 minute later we had to go to our pastors house with my aunt that lives in panmure it was so fun that we played outside we had dinner we played with balloons and drank cocoa there it was the funnest day of my life.

   

                                       Immersion Assembly

At immersion assembly it was fun because we ate and cooked pancakes and we also got to watch movies  that teachers made before school holidays. My favorite movies was teams 4 and 5. I liked the team 4 movie because it was funny and it has more interesting stuff in it like about eating too much lollies and could red bull give you wings. I knew that red bull could not give you wings because red bull ain't a fizzy drink that actually give you wings and I also knew that lollies weren’t good for kids because it is not healthy for them. I like team 5 movie because you get to know more about gas, liquid, and also solid. I really like team 2 movie because we get to check out to see which one can float and which one can sink.

Olympic Narative

One sunny morning Usain Bolt thought of something fun to do so then he decided to travel to Brazil in Rio but he wasn’t really sure of which bus to go in so then he left into the wrong bus and left to the wrong place. He was trying to figure out where is he going.

All of a sudden he started panicking because he did not know where he was. So then he bought out his phone and looked how many percent it was but when he looked at his phone it was only 10% full so then he quickly rang somebody for help but then it was to late his phone died so then he got some sticks and made a fire to keep him nice and warm.

The next day he woke up and he was somewhere else. But then he asked the lady “Where am I?" And she said “This is where we take care of people” But then luckily she had a mobile phone. I asked her “may I please use your phone please”? And she said yes you may. So then I quickly grabbed her phone and called my wife. I asked really fast “Come and pick me up!”

And she said “Where are you?” replied his wife and he said “Somewhere around Brazil”,  “Ok”.

I am coming right now. But then one minute later she found me so then we travelled safely back and lived happily ever after.

Hiwi The Kiwi Narative

In the holidays I went fishing with my grandpa we used my dad's boats to out fishing my grandpa said to me “don’t forget to put on your life jacket on before we go”. So then I quickly put on my life jacket and then left.

All of a sudden we caught a fish. When I looked at it I said to my grandpa you have to pick it up with a wet towel because when you put it back or it will get sick and die.

After we caught the big fish my grandpa said to me “you are a very good at catching fish once you grow up you might pick you to go into the fishing program”. I asked grandpa “when did you start going fishing”? And my grandpa said to me that he started going fishing when he was my age.
