   EXPO

Team five decided to do an EXPO to show to Pt England School. The reason why is because we needed to teach the younger students about Force and Motion. Teaching makes you a better learner.

Our group had more than two ideas, our first idea was to do a catapult, another idea we had in mind was to do an egg in the water experiment.

For our project we wanted to do the egg in the water experiment. The reason why we wanted to do this experiment was because it looked fun, and we wanted to test it out, and that it concludes Force & Motion.

Our group failed because we didn’t have the equipment. But we really wanted to do the EXPO with the other Yr 7 & 8 so hopefully we can do it next time.

When we have another EXPO our group should have the right equipment, and to be ready to present what we have learned to the Pt England Students.

Solar System

Solar system...hmm...What do I know about the solar system?Oh yeah I know the solar system is the sun and all the other planets that orbit around it.hmm...What do the objects orbit? I went online to search what do the objects(planets)orbit and it says the sun is the largest object(planets)by far in our solar system, containing 99.8 percents of the solar system's mass. it sheds most of the heat and light that makes life possible like earth and where else?.. Planets orbit the sun in oval-shaped paths called ellipses, with the sun slightly off-centre of each ellipse.

Week 1

We kind of got stuck on what to do so we decided to make hand dryers but then we had a problem and the problem was that it had cost heaps of money for our school to pay but then we got there.

Week 2

So then we had another idea and it was to make a maze game for team 5’s common room. So we decided that the maze game was our final plan. After that we were researching all the materials we needed

Week 3

We planned on how to make it and we came up with ideas but we thought it was to hard but then we actually made it.

Week 4

We planned on how to make it with cardboard and we actually got it.

Week 5

We are going to make it on real wood and nails.

Week 6

We are going to finish it of before the end of the week.
