BEDMAS

This morning my class had to do a blog post about BEDMAS and the meaning of each letter and here is my post about BADMAS and the what each word stands for.

Maths rotation?

In team 5 at Pt England. Room 3 has been doing DMIC. If you don't know what DMIC stands for it stands for Developing Mathematical Inquiry Community's. for DMIC we always have 2 groups a Boys group and Girls group why we do that it's because it was easier for each student to learn and everybody feels much more comfortable the it is.

INTRODUCTION TO DECIMALS

From this term and last term I have now understood a bit more and have also learnt a bit more about decimals and what they are for and what you can also use them for. If you would like to learn more about decimals please check out my presentation about decimals.

Test Practice

Today we are doing are test practice for room 3 maths class. And here is what I have been working since the last few days.

Perfect punch

Kia ora and welcome back to my new post today me and my group Tapatoru went to teacher Mrs Tele'a she has been waiting for us to finish of our school work called perfect punch. yesterday it was so fun because we made some perfect punch. We did perfect punch because it was to help me and my group to learn about ratios. It was amazing the taste was so delicious but to much sugar.

This presentation hmm...I have been learning about my measurements and have been measuring stuff like the basketball courts at Pt England School.

Solar System

Solar system...hmm...What do I know about the solar system?Oh yeah I know the solar system is the sun and all the other planets that orbit around it.hmm...What do the objects orbit? I went online to search what do the objects(planets)orbit and it says the sun is the largest object(planets)by far in our solar system, containing 99.8 percents of the solar system's mass. it sheds most of the heat and light that makes life possible like earth and where else?.. Planets orbit the sun in oval-shaped paths called ellipses, with the sun slightly off-centre of each ellipse.

Measuring Mate & Things

Measure mate hmm...This presentation is called Measuring Mates this helps you remember centimetres, Millimetres, Kilometres, Metres. Which means how long or how tall.

Home Learning

In this I have learned not a little bit but a lot because I finally know what will help me do this faster instead of counting from this number to that number so that tells me here that I have finally known and learned a lot more then I did last term. I have also pushed myself harder to do things better and not worse.

I wonder....

For this term our school topic is about guardians of the galaxy. For our topic we are learning about planets and heaps of other stuff that are in space.
Walt: Our Walt is to create an animation of a I wonder question and find the answer to that question.

Fractions Practice

For this term our class is learning fractions and what they mean.

Learning about fractions

Today my maths group (Tapatoru) and I  got to see our results for our gloss test when I was so excited to see my results but when I looked at it. It wasn't good enough for my parents to see but to me I done a great job and I also tried my very best. Then we got to learn more about fractions when we were learning I got to know more and more information I knew that there were heaps of ways to do some fractions. Examples: 1/2 of 20=10. For my results I was excited to see it but when I looked at it. For my gloss test I got a E5.  

Statistics and Probability

I have been learning how to use full sentences when you are are trying to explain a word.

Number practice

In this presentation I have been learning Maths problems and also have been learning how to solve problems and I have also been learning my 2 and 4 times tables.
