NEW YEAR!!!!

New years is nearly here Yay!! the year may have gone past very fast but I still enjoyed the time I had with my friends back in Pt England I hope that the new year 8's come in better than how we did through out this year. No matter how different the day is you just Roll with it.I know that new year can be a day when somebody gives Birth or birthday there can be real struggle sometimes when it comes to special eccations but remember that no matter what you do or where you are you must have faith in yourself.
Secondly there can be people your worried about, people who your scared but remember this bible verse.

Be strong and courages. Do not be afraid or terrified
because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will
never leave you nor forsake.

Being together!!

On Thursday year 7's had a fun trip to rainbow's end well year 8's stayed back and did some really fun activity's. Everything wasn't normal for year 8's and some of the school kids cause year 7's went to rainbow's end and year 6's went camping at Kawau Island. So the teachers said that we had to just roll with it. When the year 7's made their way to the buses we had some professional people come in with some clay and talked to us about what they do. But first of all, they told us their names and their favorite part of working as a professional clay person one of them says that their favorite part of working as a professional clay person is leaving working and going to work at schools and doing some really fun things with them. In the Middle block after morning tea, we had to try finish of our art for the end of the year. If you are wondering why we are doing Maori art patterns is because we year 8's are leaving very soon. We are going to be leaving intermediate and going to college but when we leave we have left behind some good memories for the school. After we did our artworks we packed up and put away all of our stuff getting ready for lunchtime. Then not long after lunchtime, we had some really cool games but then our teachers said that the year 7's were on their way back to school so we had to pack up and move back into our classes. It was a really fun being together but with just the year 8's. Thank you, teachers, for the effort that you put in just to make it fun for our year 8's I hope all of us enjoyed the day with you.

Title	What makes a good leader?
Introduction	Have you ever imagined what it feels like to become a leader?Leaders are really lucky because they know what the wrong and right is. A leader is a Hard Worker, Never gives up, Brave person
Information 1st idea	Hard Work Firstly, an awesome leader is a person who works hard to get the job done and dusted. Example: If your family needed for a funeral or wedding the person to stand up and find the answer to that problem.
Information 2nd idea	Never give up Secondly, A leader is a person who keeps going and never gives up no matter what happens to them. Example:Imagine being in a race and your coming last they will keep going and they will never give up until they are at the finish line.
Information 3rd idea	Brave No matter what a leader is forced or told to do they ain’t scared of anything. They have the right to stand up and speak out no matter what the person looks like. Example: When you see somebody been bullied a leader will always be the first one there to help that person.
Conclusion	Are leaders perfect? What do you think about leaders? I think that A leader may not be perfect but they still have become leaders for a good reason.

CROSS COUNTRY DAY!!

YAY CROSS COUNTRY!! If you guessed that I just finished running, then your correct. Because it was week 8, which also meant that it was nearly cross country our school was getting ready for the day to come. But then the day was here on Friday the 21st of September 2018 our school had Cross Country it was a really exciting run but nervous for some people. Everyone were at the courts sitting at their year and gender groups.

When everybody was settled we got the prefects and house captains up but first of all we did Mihi and Karakia(Prayer). Mr Burt stood in the front of everyone and spoke for a few minutes. Then Ms V, our school sport teacher spoke for a few minutes too, about what we should be doing but my year didn’t really need a reminder it might have just been for the year 1 to 4. After a few minutes, we started getting up the kids and when the years 1 to 4 finished everyone from years 5 to 8 got to move up and see a better view.

At the end of the race I was really proud of myself because I tried my personal best even though I didn’t come the places I was hoping to come I thought that it wasn’t really about coming 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. But then I found out that it was all about trying.

I have learnt that friction means Friction occurs two or more object rub together.


How friction helps us is our fingerprints create a friction when we pick up an object.

Reflection

 Today for maths we played a game/activity so part of that games we had to get into groups of 4 and we had to take turns circling numbers from 1to100 it was pretty fun but then it got a little bit hard to find the numbers even though it was hard we still kept on going until we finished for the first round I was in a group of 3 not 4 but 3 that three was Me, Sheena, and Mereana, for my group for the second round was in a group of 4 which was Me, Faioso, Annav, and Tevarihi. We found the game fun and easy but a little bit hard.

Saving Poorman's Stream

So today at school we were learning about people throwing rubbish into other peoples creek it is not a good idea to throw rubbish into creeks that you don't own or if you are going to throw rubbish in some one else's creek then you have to pick it back up it not fair for other people to pick up after you.

Today Mr Jacobson named and also blowed 5 different horns the first was called a Conch horn this horn is a shell that someone has discovered in the ocean or sea water and has found out the use of it. The second one was called a shofar it is like a Conch horn but a longer one it is what someone else has also discovered and started knowing the use of it and how to use it. The third horn was called a bugel horn it is like a trumpet that you blow to. the last 2 was a trumpet it had three different keys one was low one was a bit high and one was high and the last one was a bit of a laugh it a sports cone that Ms Va'afusuaga wanted Mr Jacobson try so then he blowed and made his funny beats. 

Filming For Room 3's Movie

As Room 3 was planning to do some filming this week and last week they were one of Mrs Tele'as busiest weeks of all weeks. first she had to get us ready then she had to work on some of our movies. Lastly she checked our script to see if it made sense for.

Now it was our turn first we looked at our script and we had to practice our line's but then it got harder for us because we had to learn it. And then in the movie we had to say it of by heart.

When it came to my lines I couldn't remember some of the words because it was hard for me to remember. Well I never remembered because sometimes people can't remember what they need to say. just like what I did I couldn't remember.

When my teacher Mrs Tele'a started recording I got scared and at the same time I was really nervous so then I had to calm myself down. I started talking to my friends cause it stops me from getting so nervous and scared.

On the second week we did one more film and it was perfect I knew all of my lines well except. for one line and I made it to the end. which was awesome. YAY!! 

The girl who saved the moon

One day in a quiet city of Auckland.While all the students of rooms 6,7, and 8 were working super quiet on their literacy tasks, Suddenly they heard a loud explosion KA-BOOM!  

All the kids stood up. Bryana yelled “someone please get some help”! kaden replied “I know just the right person to call” Kaden called flame! Suddenly flame jumped into their classroom, Dr England said “what do you want?” And Flame said “I want to fight  with you” Then Dr England said “Bring it on”.

Flame asked “what are you doing breaking into the school grounds?”“I came to get someone's Chromebook so that I can use it and have it forever”Replied doctor England. And then he saw Aarhus Chromebook lying down on the floor and float over to the other side of room eight and grabbed it and room eight shouted and said “Oh no”. “ he is getting away with Aarhus Chromebook.

Flame said “everything will be okay” and then Flame went off to help find Ahu’s Chromebook and bring it back safely and made sure it wasn’t cracked and then the whole class shouted “bye Flame” and Flamed called back to them “bye room eight”

Room eight went outside with their Chromebook cases and their Chromebooks and waited for their teacher to go and tell the office that we are going to leave school to go home early. When the saw their teacher Miss Whaea Raewyn

 they were so excited to leave school early.

But when they saw flame coming back with Aarhus chrome everybody shouted “hooray”. And then when Flame went of Flame said “ if anything happens again just yell for Help!”.
